We make a unique Mercedes Benz SL luggage rack alternative the boot-bag. Boot-bag is a waterproof luggage bag that straps to the boot lid of your Mercedes Benz without a rack. Cars have evolved in many ways over the past 50 years yet, the boot rack has remained unchanged. These racks are 108x42cm in size. What we really like about this rack is the quality of the finish and the simple but very effective design it uses to attach to the boot lid. The modern rack has four clamps that can swivel and simply clamp onto the edge of your SL's boot-lid. The fixing points the feet attach too simply slide along the cross rails and are held in place with a m6 bolt.
Thick rubber feet and rubberised clamps protect paint.

Unique design of ultra light weight luggage rack (1.6kg). No metal touches your SL's boot lid, so paint damage is impossible. With the 3-4mm panel gap between the rear wing and boot lid on modern SL's fitting a traditional rack that clamps to the boot edge is almost impossible without paint damage. The design of this rack allows it to fit in under 30 seconds, no bolts, no brackets, no straps, no hassle & no paint damage.
We manufacture the rack ourselves and its available in either a black powder coated finish or a model thats hand polished and then anodised for a deep shine.
Revo-Rack uses vacuum cup technology to secure to your SL. The rack sits on three 115mm vacuum cups these are rated as being able to hold an 18kg load each. Vacuum cups are not the same as suction cups they are much much stronger and were developed in the late 1960's to hold film camera's to cars, they are still widely used today.
Unlike suction cups that produce a vacuum as they pull away from the surface, Revo-Racks vacuum cups use a hand-actuated pump to efficiently remove air from between the rubber pad and the attaching boot/trunk lid thus creating a much more reliable hold. Because the full face of the pad is brought into contact with the boot/trunk lid, distortion is reduced, allowing the cup to be used with very little risk of damage.

The boot-bag sits on soft non slip matting to protect paintwork its 4mm thick and slightly bigger than the bag no metal hooks or clips to damage paint with this Mercedes Benz SL luggage rack system.

boot-bag is supplied with 3 straps lay these out across your open boot.
Then place the boot-bag and matting onto the boot lid, the matting is slightly bigger than the bag. The bag has a zip on 3 sides thats covered by a flap held in place by velco make sure the logo is showing on the right. The side of the bag without the zip faces into the wind.
Then take the ends of the webbing and attach to the 6 ladder lock buckles on top of the bag. These are the same as you would find on a quality rucksack and once the webbing is tight it won't come loose. Detach the shoulder strap.
boot-bag is fully waterproof the two patches on top of the bag are sown then welded so no water can leak through the stitching.
Its even possible to open the boot with the bag attached. Boot-bag is fine on cars with a L shaped boot like this Honda just fill the boot before you lay the straps out.
